Position Summary The Donor Experience Officer (DXO) is a key member of the dynamic and mission-driven UNCG Advancement Team. In addition to joining UNCG’s talented team of development professionals, the candidate will have the opportunity to take part in a cutting edge advancement program that will change the face of annual giving. The Donor Experience Program at UNCG is focused on marrying UNCG’s development communications efforts with fundraising workflows in order to engage and grow the next generation of supporters of the university. The Donor Experience Officer will focus on providing a first-class philanthropic experience for all donors by leveraging personalized digital engagement to effectively build relationships based on what truly matters to each individual supporter. The Donor Experience Officer will manage a portfolio of donors with clear weekly, monthly, and annual goals. The candidate will collaborate with other departments both internally at the university (including Marketing and Communications, Alumni Relations, and Development) and externally, to effectively execute 1:1 outreach campaigns using technology resources including EverTrue’s cloud platform, social media and virtual communications software. Comfort with making personalized solicitations, daily use of video, phone, and email, and use of multiple databases and virtual communication technology is critical to success in this role. This role is critical to helping UNCG achieve both its near-term annual giving goals and long-term fundraising objectives and develop qualified major gift referrals. Candidates should be self motivated and positive professionals, with a team-first optimistic attitude, eager to embody the UNCG spirit and engage alumni and friends at a high velocity in a personalized manner. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of two years of experience in fundraising (preferably higher education)
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to diverse constituencies
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Willingness to travel
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Execute monthly and quarterly touchpoint cadences (averaging 50 outbound touch points per day) across portfolio to ensure consistent and relevant donor communication
Meet and exceed clearly defined goals with an emphasis on virtual meetings with prospective donors and number of personalized solicitations delivered
Be fluent in the “menu” of engagement and philanthropic opportunities across the University (regional alumni events, on-campus events, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities, crowdfunding campaigns, fundraising priorities) to inform conversations and solicitations
Embrace a “mile-wide and inch-deep” approach to serving as a proactive advisor on resources available to donors across the institution.
Build relationships across the University campus to be in a position to connect donors with relevant individuals when applicable
