We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy is accepting applications for a Dean of Students (grades K-6) for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check. The Dean of Students works closely with the teachers within each of these respective departments and monitors the overall student performance for students in grades K-6. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managing student behavior, discipline, safety, and learning environment. Supports duties and tasks as part of the campus administration team Develops and implements student disciplinary policies and procedures Enforces guidelines and requirements for student behavior, dress, conduct, and compliance with requirements as documented in the parent-student handbook Oversee and manage traffic and parking guidelines and processes for student drop-off, pick-up, and campus events Counsels students and parents about school and district behavior, dress, and conduct policies Supports campus extracurricular activities such as assemblies and other social events to ensure a safe and positive environment consistent with ALA-Lexington’s mission, vision, and values. Monitors student behavior and engages with students and parents to correct inappropriate conduct, identify student challenges, and development/implement behavior intervention strategies that maximize opportunities for student success. Monitors tardiness, attendance and truancy; coordinates with attendance clerk, campus health aide, campus psychologist, and academic assistant directors to maximize students in-class time Abides by policies as set forth by ALA-Lexington Board, District office, and the campus director Performs other duties as assigned
