Job Description

Job Summary The Director of Curricular & Student Affairs will manage a variety of projects to run the campus, serving as a liaison between UNC-School of Medicine and Novant Health. This position will serve as primary point of contact for operational needs, communicating with leadership, course directors, faculty members, staff, and medical students in Charlotte and Chapel Hill. The position will oversee teaching faculty and course development (preceptor recruitment and training), curricular functions (e.g., course schedules, clinical placements, educational materials, standardized exams, preceptor evaluations, and grades), and student affairs functions (e.g., academic assistance, advising, learning environment, mental and general healthcare, and facilities) and budget management (with finance support). This position will be expected to attend regular committee meetings and campus retreats. Qualifications +

Education:

Masters of Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or Health Administration, required. +

Experience:

Experience working in a medical school of healthcare system, required. + Additional Skills (required): An ideal candidate has an understanding of the mission of the UNC SOM; experience working with medical students or residents; familiarity with accreditation standards set by the Liaison Committee for Medical Education; proficiency in UNC-adopted educational software (one45, Sakai, and EAB); project management skills, impeccable communications skills, and high degree of flexibility.
