Position:

The College Connector will be integral to the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic recruitment initiatives to attract high-caliber students to CHHS programs, with a focus on increasing nursing interest and enrollment to positively impact the healthcare workforce in New Hanover County. The role supports the mission of the New Hanover Healthcare Career Partnership (HCP) powered by The Endowment, which is committed to increasing healthcare education and workforce development. The College Connector will work closely with community partners, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to align advising and recruitment efforts with the CHHS vision and mission, and the core pillars The Endowment, focuses on Education, Community Development, Community Safety and HCP project initiatives.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Master’s in higher education, marketing, communications, or a related field Experience working with or recruiting for health and human services programs Experience in customer relationship management systems Experience in recruitment, admissions, or student services Evidence of successful experience in K-12 schools, public agencies, non-profit organizations, and/or local community groups Evidence of experience in working with student populations in higher education or K-12
