JOB DEFINITION
To lead, direct, manage, supervise, plan, teach and coordinate the Artificial Intelligence program for the college; to coordinate assigned activities with other college departments, divisions, and outside agencies.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives administrative direction from the Department Chair of Business, IT, and Public ServicesExercises direct and indirect supervision over faculty and clerical staff

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
Provide leadership and management responsibility for workforce preparation in Artificial Intelligence and activities that incorporate current technology and effective methods of instruction that meet the needs of employersPlan, direct, and participate in the instruction for Artificial Intelligence; develop supplemental materials and tests; maintain accurate records of student attendance and performanceManage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the Artificial Intelligence program including curriculum development and instructional coordination; recommend, within departmental policy, appropriate service and staffing levels; recommend and administer policies and proceduresContinuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; assess and monitor workload, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identify opportunities for improvement and review with supervisorsBased on enrollment, select, train, motivate and evaluate division faculty; provide or coordinate professional development of faculty; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination proceduresPlan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for the Artificial Intelligence program; meet with faculty/students to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products, methods and proceduresCoordinate and participate in the development and administration of the Artificial Intelligence program annual budget; direct the forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; direct the monitoring of and approve expenditures; direct and implement adjustments as necessaryServe as liaison for the Artificial Intelligence program with other college departments, division, agencies, industries, organizations; negotiate and resolve significant and controversial issuesRecruit, interview, evaluate, and hire Artificial Intelligence instructorsDevelop, coordinate and implement faculty schedules to ensure an equitable allocation of course assignmentsProvide direction for the development, implementation and review of the Artificial Intelligence program
Other Important Functions:
Assess material, supply, and equipment needs for Artificial Intelligence program; submit requisitions for the ordering of supplies; maintain an inventory of equipment and suppliesCoordinate the academic program efforts to recruit and retain students; coordinate the development, review, and revision of program publications, publicity and other community relations’ activitiesCoordinate activities with Student Services in the implementation of the Artificial Intelligence programCoordinate the selection, use and maintenance of equipment and facilities assigned to the program; may identify, negotiate and contract for educational facilities and locationsRepresent the college to the community and outside organizationsProvide guidance and advice to studentsPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
