Job Description

Coordinator of Residence Life 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 48380 US Highway 52, Misenheimer, NC 28109 The Coordinator of Residence Life is responsible for the creation of an atmosphere and living environment conducive to the intellectual, emotional, cultural, and social development of students residing in the residence halls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruit, select, train, supervise and develop undergraduate resident directors (RDs) and resident assistants (RAs) Create and develop the residence hall programming model Enforce residence hall policies aimed at assuring health and safety, as well as enriching the social, cultural, and intellectual growth of Pfeiffer students Coordinate and create the housing selection process for returning students while also overseeing the housing assignments process for new students Manage the residence hall opening and closing procedures – including damage billing and early arrivals Lead the ongoing development of Living-Learning Communities, work to develop new LLCs, and supervise the LLC Coordinators Assist with summer camps and conference housing, meals and space reservations Other duties as assigned Supervise Resident Assistants (RAs) and Resident Directors (RHDs) Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. Occasional travel required for representation at professional and organizational meetings;

Position Type:

Full time/Exempt, 12 months position. Four-year, undergraduate degree is required. Undergraduate experience as an RA or RHO Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute complex events Excellent leadership, organization, interpersonal, and oral/written skills with demonstrated skills in team building and networking Evidence of commitment to enhancement of diversity and a sensitivity to student concerns Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with faculty, students, parents, staff, and advisors Experience using personal computers including word processing and spreadsheet/database software Ability to operate a motor vehicle Experience with religiously-affiliated university is desirable Driver’s license required
