Essential Job Duties In this role, you won’t just be reviewing paperwork—you’ll be making a meaningful difference in the lives of students every day. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for students registered with the DRO, helping coordinate disability-related accommodations, providing guidance and support for faculty, and playing an important role in fostering an accessible learning environment across campus.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Empowering Students:
Review documentation and assist with eligibility decisions for academic accommodations. Work directly with students to ensure their accommodations are implemented smoothly and effectively.
Partnering with
Faculty & Staff:
Help faculty and staff understand, administer, and support accommodations, while problem-solving accessibility challenges along the way.
Educating the
Campus Community:
Share your knowledge of accessibility best practices and legal compliance to build a welcoming campus culture.
Leading with
Data & Organization:
Assist in tracking student registration, support orientation and training services, and contribute to key reports and projects that help the DRO operate effectively.
Supporting Digital Accessibility:
Work closely with the Campus IT Accessibility Coordinator to provide accessible textbook resources, manage assistive technology loans, and support the administration of course accessibility notifications. Qualifications Minimum Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Other Required Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills to support clear, professional interactions.
Excellent organizational skills for managing records, tracking services, and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and email platforms.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
