Alumni Relations USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The Assistant Director is responsible for integrating alumni into the Plymouth State community by developing and implementing new engagement opportunities and programs that enhance and support the integrated cluster learning model and supports the success of our students. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Alumni Relations to create and implement a strategic plan for alumni and donor volunteer engagement and events that builds on the early success of existing programs and opens these opportunities to a far greater number of alumni and donors. She/he will be responsible for recruiting, selecting, engaging, training, supervising, and evaluating the volunteers involved in these new strategic engagement opportunities and programming, as well as planning, marketing, and implementation of engagement, fundraising, and stewardship events and initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Events (20%) Manage and implement all alumni and donor engagement events. Marketing (40%) Develop digital marketing for all alumni channels to drive alumni and donor engagement. Future Alumni Board (10%) Recruit, train, engage, and lead students in the Future Alumni Board toward its goal of raising money for their annual class gift. Prospective Donor Identification (10%) Identify engaged alumni and friends to support the gift officers in University Advancement. Donor Stewardship (10%) Support donor stewardship through events, communications, and initiatives (for example, the annual donor thank you calendar). Fundraising (10%) Build and actively manage a portfolio of donors in support of PSU’s participation fundraising goals and support the team effort for leadership and major donor level gifts. Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree plus two years of work experience.

Required Licenses & Certifications:
NH Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge and experience with social media marketing, including ad campaigns, as well as email marketing (Constant Contact or similar).
Self-starter, energetic, enjoys learning new things, and works well in a team environment.
Ability to communicate and engage with diverse populations.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Supervisory and organizational skills
Experience using customer retention management software and donor database systems.
Ability to represent Plymouth State University with professionalism, accuracy, and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience creating text, images, and video for marketing.
Experience recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating new student and alumni volunteers.
