This is a shared position reporting to both the Director of the Academic Resource Center and the Director, Office of International Programs. Successful candidates will be able to assist the College in advancing its mission and strategic priorities, which includes institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness. This is a full-time, year-round position. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities In the Academic Resource Center (ARC) Provide leadership for the Peer Tutor Program and ARC Student Assistants by hiring and mentoring student staff, establishing and monitoring schedules, and providing ongoing training In collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Academic Support Services, maintain program data using the ARC Appointment System (Trac Cloud) and design academic support outreach in response to trends Manage payroll for ARC student staff Supervise student marketing and social media teams and contribute to ARC social media, marketing, and digital resources Work one-on-one with students seeking professional academic coaching Collaborate with ARC staff to support programs and events Contribute to a welcoming and accessible environment for all students coming into the ARC In the Office of International Programs Manage individual student engagement in program selection•, applications, course approvals, financial and scholarship mentoring, visa application procedures, and pre-departure mentoring (•for non-customized programs) In collaboration with Director, manage and facilitate study abroad information events including tabling, pre-departure, drop-in application/visa work sessions Participate in Admissions’ Open Houses and other student events such as Sophomore Experience; supervise global student ambassadors at events, as needed Provide supervision to the student Marketing Intern Manage the office’s social media presence to include content creation, event planning, and consistency in marketing schedules In collaboration with Director, work with stakeholder offices/departments to provide occasional informational programs, workshops and classroom visits about study abroad Assist with data collection and analysis of study abroad participation rates, satisfaction, and post-graduate analysis of career alignment to global experiences Desired Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant field At least 1-2 years of experience in academic support, international programs, or similar setting serving the needs of culturally diverse student populations with an equity and inclusion lens Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively Ability to self-start and complete duties efficiently and effectively Ability to problem-solve and think sequentially in a fast-paced environment Ability to work some evenings and weekends Reliability, confidentiality, and high integrity Familiarity with Google, Microsoft, Zoom, and other similar technology applications Familiarity with a four-year residential college setting and commitment to the mission of a Catholic, liberal arts institution Successful candidates will be able to assist the college in advancing its mission and strategic priorities , which include institution-wide diversity and inclusiveness .
