$35.5K – $41.7K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Program development Mid-level Master’s degree Bachelor’s degree 1 year Communication skills Full Job Description Saint Anselm College, a Catholic, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, educating students for lives of meaning, leadership, and achievement, is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Director for the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Students /Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, the Assistant Director will have direct responsibility for supporting the development and implementation of a broad spectrum of student events, programs, and involvement opportunities in a student-centered environment. The role will focus on coordinating all aspects of the Family Weekend Program, advising the Campus Activities Board, coordinating late night and weekend programming, as well as marketing and social media efforts. This role requires the ability to work evenings and weekends during the academic year.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibility for coordinating department programs and events for the student body, with a focus on evening and weekend programming Develop programs and/or advise students on programs that encourage active student involvement in social, cultural, intellectual, recreational, DEIB, leadership, and governance programs Coordinate and implement all aspects of the Family Weekend Program, including budget, ticket sales process, planning the schedule, training student committee members, marketing, assessment, and communicating with campus collaborators and college constituents. Facilitate and implement the assessment and reporting for evening, late night and weekend programs, as well as for other department efforts as assigned Advise and work in collaboration with the Campus Activities Board (CAB) providing appropriate officer and program director leadership training, budget oversight, and review of performer and vendor contracts Coordinate, create, and distribute marketing materials in support of office programs through digital media, social media, print, and other forms of advertising Manage, compose, and improve social media networking and website presence in support of programming efforts and office objectives Assist in the revision of policies and procedures relevant to CAB, clubs and organizations, as well as all aspects of department efforts Assist in leadership training opportunities for student clubs/orgs’ officers, class officers and other student leaders Assist in the implementation of the New Student Orientation program Facilitate the schedule for our student employees as it relates to their assistance with programs and events for nights and weekends Assist as requested in other SEAL Programs and efforts Serve on assigned college and division committees
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for a Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel, counseling, education, or a related field A minimum of 1-2 years demonstrated experience in advising student organizations and activities, cultural and DEIB programming, and/or programming within a student affairs division Demonstrated experience in advising complex program development for a diverse population Strong oral and written communication skills Familiarity with the traditions and ideals of Catholic higher education A completed application, cover letter and resume are required in order to be considered for this position.
