Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative College/Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine strong college/career expertise with exceptional marketing skills to promote our students’ achievements and establish strategic partnerships with colleges, universities, and industry leaders. This role is critical in helping our STEM-focused students navigate their academic journey beyond high school and access unique extended learning opportunities that complement our curriculum. Key Responsibilities College Advising Provide comprehensive college advising services to students and families Guide students through the college application process, including essay writing, application strategy, and financial aid navigation Maintain up-to-date knowledge of admission requirements and trends for top STEM programs Organize college fairs, campus visits, and information sessions Extended Learning Opportunities Develop and manage innovative ELO programs that connect students with real-world learning experiences Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners for internships, mentorships, and project-based learning opportunities Create systems to track and assess the impact of ELO experiences on student outcomes Collaborate with faculty to integrate ELOs into the curriculum Marketing and Outreach Develop compelling marketing materials highlighting student achievements and program offerings Create a strategic communication plan to promote ASD students to colleges and universities as well as industry partners Build and maintain an engaging social media presence showcasing student accomplishments Represent ASD at education conferences and networking events Craft data-driven presentations that demonstrate the success of our programs Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Education, or related field 3+ years of experience in college counseling, preferably in a STEM-focused environment Demonstrated marketing and communication skills Experience building strategic partnerships with educational institutions and industry Strong understanding of STEM education pathways and career opportunities Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Proficiency with data analysis and relevant technology platforms Preferred Qualifications Experience with charter school education models Background in STEM education or industry Experience with grant writing and resource development Familiarity with project-based learning approaches
