Head of School Role Summary :

The Middle/High School Principal & Dean of Men serves as the spiritual, academic, and administrative leader for grades 6-12. This dual-role position is responsible for maintaining a Christ-centered learning environment, supporting faculty development, overseeing student discipline and welfare (with a specific focus on male students), and promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and spiritual growth.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Spiritual Leadership Serve as a godly example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity (1 Timothy 4:12). Promote biblical worldview integration in academics, discipline, and school culture. Lead or support chapel services, staff devotions, and student discipleship programs. Build intentional mentoring relationships with male students. Collaborate with staff to cultivate spiritual formation opportunities. Academic Leadership Provide instructional leadership by supporting faculty in curriculum development and classroom management. Supervise and evaluate middle and high school teachers, promoting professional growth. Ensure academic standards align with Christian educational goals and state requirements. Monitor student progress, testing, and academic support services. Support integration of biblical principles across all subject areas. Student Development & Discipline (Dean of Men Focus) Oversee the behavior, attendance, and discipline of male students. Address disciplinary matters with a redemptive, restorative approach grounded in biblical principles. Collaborate with the Dean of Women and the Head of School regarding certain disciplinary decisions as needed. Build a positive rapport with male students through mentoring, accountability, and encouragement. Collaborate with parents regarding behavioral concerns, discipline, and spiritual growth. Create and enforce policies that foster respect, responsibility, and Christian character. Administrative Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the middle and high school. Work closely with the Head of School and the Administrative Team to develop and implement school policies and procedures. Collaborate with school leaders in areas of safety, scheduling, staffing, and facilities. Participate in the admissions process, including interviewing prospective families and students. Support extracurricular activities, athletics, and school events as a visible and engaged leader. Faculty & Parent Communication Lead faculty meetings and promote a spirit of unity, prayer, and collaboration. Maintain open, consistent, and professional communication with parents. Mediate student, parent, and staff concerns with wisdom and discretion.

Qualifications :

Review and affirm, without reservation to the Core Statements adopted by CCA include the CCA Mission, Vision, Core Values, Community Life Statement, Statement of Faith, Philosophy of Christian Education, School-wide Learning Outcomes, and Instructional Values. A mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ and active participation in a local evangelical church. Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in education, with leadership and classroom experience required. Proven ability to lead young men with authority, compassion, and biblical wisdom. Strong organizational, relational, and communication skills.
