WHAT IS EXETER JOB CORPS ACADEMY
?We support the Job Corps program’s mission to teach eligible youngpeople the skills they need to become employable and independentand place them in meaningful jobs or further education. Our centerspecializes in Culinary Arts, Welding, Electronics Engineering, andPatient Care.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the management ofthe Center discipline, recognition and incentive program forstudents. Analyzes Center’s student discipline and incentiveprogram and uses proper judgment and discretion to resolve issuesand problems. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitiveinformation and integrity of student data. RESPONSIBILITIESOversees the Center behavior management system to ensure studentcompliance with Center rules and regulations. Provides orientationto new students including explaining Center rules, regulations,incentive/disciplinary system and legal services available.
Provides in-service training to all staff on the Center behaviormanagement system. Ensures the Center’s compliance with Job CorpsZero Tolerance policies. Administers penalties for disciplinaryinfractions in accordance with PRH requirements, approved sanctionguide and the Student Handbook. Appoints and trains staff to serveon the Center’s Fact Finding Board and Behavior Review Panels.
Investigates student incidents involving student misconduct.
Reports significant concerns to the Center Director. Ensuressanctions are imposed in accordance with Center Sanction Guide.
Maintains a complete file of student disciplinary records andensures student behavioral infractions are appropriately enteredinto CIS. Analyzes and prepares data related to behavioral trendsand prepares required reports as directed. Acts as liaison withlocal law enforcement authorities regarding students charged withcriminal activities off-Center. Coordinates these activities withthe Center Safety/Security department. In cooperation with theEducation & Training Manager, ensures the effective administrationof the Career Success Standards Rating system as directed bycompany guidelines. Develops Center-beneficial linkages within thecommunity for education, employment, Career Technical Training andWBL. Promotes a positive image of the Center and Job Corps. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
HighSchool diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree from anaccredited school preferred. A minimum of one-year experience inJob Corps or related residential youth program required. Mustpossess a valid Driver’s License and meet Company insurabilityrequirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing,climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying,reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order toask for necessary assistance. “Adams and Associates, Inc. abides bythe requirements of 41 CFR §§ 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
