Program Director Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage daily operations of the program, ensuring all activities align with agency goals and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain all staff schedules, including master, daily, and time-off calendars, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with staffing ratios. Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and time-off requests; address scheduling conflicts and ensure appropriate coverage at all times. Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to staff; document performance concerns and implement corrective actions in collaboration with Human Resources and the Program Director. Enforce program policies and procedures, including staff conduct and disciplinary protocols. Assist in conducting internal audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with DCF, Medicaid, and state regulations. Complete annual performance evaluations and contribute to staff development planning. Maintain and update operational workflows, administrative procedures, and reporting standards to improve program efficiency. Coordinate and lead staff meetings and operational briefings to ensure communication and alignment across all group rooms and staff. Oversee onboarding and orientation of new employees and ensure adherence to training requirements. Track and verify completion of documentation, including timesheets, schedules, and incident reports. Manage and oversee client cases when warranted, ensuring compliance with care standards and addressing specific needs or concerns promptly. Provide case management services by coordinating care, completing necessary documentation, facilitating therapeutic groups, advocating for client needs, and ensuring access to appropriate interventions and resources to support client well-being. Demonstrate effective crisis management skills by assessing situations swiftly, implementing appropriate interventions, and providing leadership to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff during emergencies. Lead or co-facilitate treatment team meetings, ensuring collaboration, adherence to care standards, and effective communication to meet client needs. Work collaboratively with the Program Director to identify and resolve systemic operational challenges. Serve as acting Program Director in their absence, providing leadership and continuity of operations. Remain adaptable and take on additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field required. Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in behavioral health or healthcare setting, preferred. NJ license or license eligible, preferred. Strong working knowledge of state, Medicaid, and DCF regulations. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling/reporting software. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to emergent situations.
