$85,000•$95,000 annually (based on experience) Are you a driven and dynamic healthcare admissions professional with a passion for helping others and a knack for building relationships? We are seeking a full-time Admissions Director to join our leadership team at our skilled nursing facility in Jersey City, NJ . This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping residents and their families navigate the admissions process while supporting census growth and team success.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage referrals daily via fax, email, and systems like Allscripts, Navihealth, EPIC, E-faxes with prompt follow-up (90% within 15-30 minutes). Identify and troubleshoot admission-related operational issues and report findings to the administration and corporate leadership. Maintain accurate AM/PM census updates and distribute to leadership, billing, and interdisciplinary teams. Keep census data updated in Future Care PTS and CensusPro . Coordinate closely with Billing, MDS, Concierge, Rehab, and Medicaid teams for a smooth admissions process. Conduct facility tours and provide complete admissions packets, ensuring timely documentation. Support the Marketing team through event participation, building community relationships, and maximizing referrals. Manage authorizations and case management for short-term HMO admissions and collaborate with UR teams. Participate in daily standups and quarterly QA/UR/hospital meetings as needed. Coach and support the admissions/marketing team and maintain a high-paced workflow.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare admissions (SNF or similar); director-level experience strongly preferred. High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred . Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, PDPM, RUGS II & III, managed care authorizations, and CMS/DOH regulations. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and comfortable using platforms such as WhatsApp for team communication. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills. Must possess a professional, enthusiastic, and solution-focused demeanor.
