  • Current GTA NYS certified teacher
  • Experiences in social/emotional learning and/or restorative practices

  • Familiar with Olympia student and staff population
  • provide leadership and support to build capacity of all stakeholders, to create a community that supports the social-emotional skill set of our students.
  • Ability to work with students successfully and elevate student voice
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
  • Introduce all teachers to restorative practices and support implementation of Tier 1 restorative/SEL strategies for all staff and students
  • Small group instruction centering around restorative practices
  • Implement and manage a tier 2 restorative practice system such as peer mediation, accountability projects to support student with peer conflict and disciplinary infractions.
  • Support re-entry plans for students returning from suspension, both long and short term
  • Collaborate with Center for Youth, Mental Health Staff, Genessee Mental Health and other social-emotional and discipline supports
  • Review, revise and develop restorative practice approaches
  • Provide staff training and coaching around restorative practices at both the tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 level
  • Identify and assess data to measure success of restorative practice implementation
  • Attend district wide meeting on restorative practices
  • Attend/support both building and district guardians of equity teams
  • Work with administrative team to develop and maintain systems to uphold/elevate restorative practices Questions regarding this posting should be directed to:
