• Responsible for maintaining daily operational activities including but not limited to: + scheduling patients, answering phones, managing patient flow within the department + passing accurate/complete messages, gathering and entering statistics + collecting copayments + participating in weekly huddle + monitoring for staff schedule gaps + providing feedback regarding anticipated caseload + supports therapists by preparing charts for timely documentation, scanning documents or making detailed notations + communicates therapist findings to referring provider when necessary including follow up for signed certifications + Performing any assigned departmental audits + Participates in completion of departmental administrative tasks including but not limited to: Policy Tracking, Numbers Tracking, participates in initiatives to increase patient survey scores, and patient retention (such as reminder calls) + Performs accurate registration processes and makes timely corrections to mistakes + Maintains communication via messaging, email, 1:1, staff meetings, huddles + Provides floating secretarial coverage when necessary between cardiology, Canton physical therapy, and Ogdensburg physical therapy + Contacts new referrals in a timely manner and maintains method to track incoming referrals and follow up with older referrals + Completes prior verification of benefits and any necessary authorization or other such tasks that increase payment for services rendered, communicating necessary information to patients regarding financial responsibility/insurance benefits + Maintains organized work space + Adapt to change when necessary + Other duties otherwise not specified.

EDUCATION

Required:

● High school diploma/GED TRAINING and

EXPERIENCE

Required:

+ Basic computer knowledge. + Medical Terminology + Must have experience registering patients and obtaining insurance validations and authorizations + Must communicate effectively with medical personnel + Accurate typing skills, organizational skills, clerical skills and good attention to detail

• The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.

It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
