Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Director of Athletic Communications will assist in all facets of Athletic Communications at Immaculata University as directed by the Director of Athletics. In this capacity, the Director of Athletic Communications will assist in the management of all home athletic events and will assist in the collection and maintenance of all statistical data for Immaculata’s 22 Varsity Athletic programs. The Director of Athletic Communications will also assist in the management of all external communication efforts for the Department of Athletics and Recreation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as athletics contact for members of the media, the NCAA, AEC, alumni, and members of the public who have an interest in Immaculata University Athletics.
Research and explore new methods by which to promote the athletic programs of IU.
Responsible for the development and production of athletics programs, brochures, publications, and graphic and video production.
Oversee the collection, maintenance, and filing of all statistical data for the various sports in the intercollegiate athletics program.
Compile and update all University athletic records for coaches, teams, and individual athletes.
Supervise the press table for home games.
Assist in event/game day setup process.
Report to appropriate news media the results of all University intercollegiate athletic events.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the content of the University athletic social media accounts.
Meet all sports information expectations of the NCAA and AEC.
Serve as liaison to IU communication’s office.
Maintain a working relationship with the Athletic Director, coaches of intercollegiate athletic teams, student-athletes, and University administration.
Represent the University and its athletics program, with honesty, integrity and sportsmanship at all times, to various institutional programs and students, parents, the general public, alumni and external agencies.
Develop a positive, professional relationship with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Contribute to the overall atmosphere of the department through establishing positive, team-oriented working relationships with peers and by adhering to the department’s mission statement and core values. Work with various departments and personnel at the college to aid in the development of a positive student-athlete experience.
Represent Immaculata University as the Home Event Administrative Representative as needed.
Ability to work extended hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Prior experience working in a collegiate Sports Information Department or related field.
