Student Engagement Success Coach 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 600 Valley St, Summerdale, PA 17093 The Student Engagement Success Coach supports student success from enrollment through graduation by designing and delivering meaningful, personalized engagement opportunities. This role focuses on three primary student groups – high-risk students, program-specific cohorts, and the general student population – to foster retention, persistence, and a vibrant campus experience. Organization Role This position reports to the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Student Affairs. The role does not supervise full-time staff but oversees student clubs and organizations, including student leaders and club officers. This position requires flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends, within a standard 40-hour work week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plans and coordinates student engagement programming, including scheduling, marketing, logistics, and assessment. Develops and delivers New Student Orientation each term in both virtual and in-person formats. Leads First-Year Experience/PACT events and programming targeted at high-risk student populations. Implements multicultural, diversity, and inclusion initiatives aligned with student demographics. Serve as advisor to the Student Government Association and provides ongoing guidance and support for all College-recognized student clubs and organizations. Plans and coordinates student engagement programming, including scheduling, marketing, logistics, and assessment. Develops and delivers New Student Orientation each term in both virtual and in-person formats. Leads First-Year Experience/PACT events and programming targeted at high-risk student populations. Implements multicultural, diversity, and inclusion initiatives aligned with student demographics. Maintains a caseload of assigned students, conducting regular outreach to offer academic and personal support. Tracks student engagement, gathers feedback through surveys and assessments, and uses data to improve programming. Collaborates with the AVP of Student Affairs to ensure engagement activities align with budgetary goals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required in Education, Higher Education, Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with students in higher education, specifically in advising, coaching, or program coordination roles. Strong communication, public speaking, and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard). Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and foster an inclusive, student-centered environment. Working Conditions Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for occasional local or regional travel. Must be able to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 30 lbs. Position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. This role is based on campus and requires regular in-person attendance. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for student engagement and College events.
