GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Reap College of Creative and Professional Studies invites applications for the position of International Program, Department Assistant. This is a full-time position working with the international programs. The position provides administrative and logistical support with direction from the Assistant Dean of international Programs and the Dean of the Reap College of Creative and Professional Studies. It will interact with all areas of the operational processes for the international partnership programs, including admissions, student interaction, registration, and record-keeping, among other duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Facilitating the admission process for international students seeking enrollment in an academic program at Marywood University.
Provides guidance to applicants regarding admission requirements, application procedures, and necessary documentation such as transcripts, letters of recommendations, etc.
Maintains accurate records including but not limited to:
o Course rosters and enrollment
o electronic student files
o syllabi
o Contracts and agreements
o Budget
o Other institutional data for the academic unit
Registers international students within classes.
Works with partners to collect course evaluations and archive syllabi.
Lists and maintains courses on the master schedule.
Submits and maintains calendar items for international terms.
Generates and processes part-time and overload faculty contracts. Serves as interface for all part-time adjunct instructors.
Serves as a liaison with other departments in the assistance of or resolution of administrative/operational problems.
Coordinates onsite and off-site graduation ceremonies.
Supports the administrative and logistical operations of the faculty and staff within the international partnership program area.
Assists the RCCPS Dean, Assistant Dean of International Programs, and other staff involved with international programming on management and development of international partnerships and business activities.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
(knowledge, skill, abilities): Excellent written, oral, and cross-cultural communication skills
Understanding of best practices in higher education
Experience managing financial budgeting and administration
Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
Ability to collaborate across various university departments.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree

(bending/sitting/lifting/driving/etc.): Sitting, typing, and working at a computer and monitor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Professional office setting in an academic building; occasional travel as needed.
