Job Description
Dean of Students Diocese of Scranton Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701 The Diocese of Scranton is looking for a dynamic educator with strong interpersonal skills, experience working with high school students , and well versed in the Catholic faith to be the Dean of Students at our high school in Luzerne County. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Master’s Degree, experience teaching at the secondary level, PA Clearances, experience with technology, and excellent student management skills. The dean of students is responsible for maintaining the good order of the school through fair and just adherence to the policies and procedures upheld by the school. His/her role is to foster respect for authority, self and others.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforces all discipline policies
- Updates the Parent/Student Handbook
- Develops a respectful attitude of students toward authority
- Assists the faculty in the enforcement of school rules and regulations
- Informs parents of disciplinary actions taken by the school
- Maintains attendance records
- Implements detention schedules
