Director of Dual Enrollment 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Bamberg County, SC Job Responsibilities Under general supervision of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Director of Dual Enrollment is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and administration of the program. The role ensures that high school students have access to high-quality college-level coursework, providing a seamless transition from secondary to postsecondary education. The director collaborates with K-12 partners, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to expand opportunities, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and align dual enrollment offerings with the college’s mission and academic goals.
Program Leadership and Administration:
Develops, implements, and manages all aspects of the college’s dual enrollment programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and academic standards; establishes policies and procedures to facilitate dual enrollment participations; oversees the enrollment process; monitors and assesses program effectiveness through data collection, reporting, and evaluation, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Partnerships:
Serves as the primary liaison between the college and K-12 school districts; develops articulation agreements and Memoranda of Understandings; work closely with College faculty and academic departments to ensure dual enrollment course offerings align with college-level rigor and curriculum standards; represents the College at school district meeting and community outreach events; develops marketing and recruitment materials; organizes informational sessions and workshops.
Student Support and Engagement:
Provides oversight for student recruitment application, and onboarding processes to increase awareness and participation; ensures student receive academic advising, orientation, and support services; develop and implements strategies to support all student populations.
Compliance and Reporting:
Maintains compliance with all state and federal guidelines; prepares and submits reports on enrollment trends, student performance, and program outcomes; monitors budgetary expenditures and creates a budget.
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement:
Stays informed of national, state and location trends; participates in professional organizations and conferences; and provides training and professional development opportunities to faculty, staff, and high school partners. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor’s degree and experience in student services programs. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree and three (3) years relevant program experience is required. Previous experience in a higher education setting is preferred. Employee must have strong organizational skills to be able to prioritize and complete work in a timely and accurate manner, work under pressure with short deadlines and demonstrate knowledge and experience in the academic recruitment process, dual enrollment regulations, academic advising, budget management, problem-solving, program management, and K-12 education systems. In addition, be knowledgeable of the South Carolina Department of Education guidelines and transfer procedures. Additional Comments Valid driver’s license required. Must be willing to work varied hours including evenings and weekends if needed, routine travel to off-site locations, and moderate physical requirements. Must be able to move up to 25 lbs.
