Full-Time Oak Harbor Healthcare is a skilled nursing facility that offers both long-term and short-term care. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Administrative Support Specialist to assist with clerical and admissions-related duties in support of our residents, their families, and our care team.
Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform clerical support in an efficient and professional manner, in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the Admissions Director, Social Services Director or other supervisory staff. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and passionate about helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to ensure timely completion of admission paperwork and records. Assist the Admissions Director with overseeing room readiness for new admissions. Visit local hospitals to check in on prospective or current residents as needed. Conduct regular check-ins with short-term rehab residents throughout their stay to support their care experience. Support the Social Services department with discharge planning and coordination. Maintain compliance with all applicable facility policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct. Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and accrediting agency standards, including those from the Department of Health, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus. Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred, but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills.
