Internal Title Alumni Engagement Coordinator Position Type Classified Faculty / Non-Faculty / Administration Non-Faculty Pay Band 5 Level 4 Department Alumni Affairs Job Purpose Assists with events and regular communications to engage current students and approximately 103,000 alumni around the world to increase philanthropic support for the College. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in event production, customer communications, customer/constituent database management, customer service, research, development, or other related field. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Must be detail oriented. Must be professional, well organized, have a strong writing background and have excellent email and phone skills. Experience in using LinkedIn and Raisers Edge or a similar CRM a plus. Additional Comments Regarding Position Must be able to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends. Must be able to lift 30-35 pounds without restrictions. Travels, when appropriate, to coordinate and execute events. Essential or Marginal Essential Percent of Time 20 Activity Collaborates on communications to engage students, alumni, parents, and donors to support increasing a higher level of engagement and philanthropy. Partners with Institutional Advancement Communications team to amplify gift announcements and other important news. Works with WordPress to keep the Alumni website updated with events, sponsors, etc. Essential or Marginal Essential Percent of Time 20 Activity Solicits, collects, and updates contact, demographic, and other information on students, alumni, parents, and donors in the Raiser’s Edge database. Works with Raiser’s Edge data administrators to produce event reports and analyze data to measure effectiveness of engagement efforts. Tracks alumni engagement for measuring progress toward annual division goals and metrics reports for philanthropy and engagement. Essential or Marginal Essential Percent of Time 30 Activity Writes and distributes monthly Class Notes and Cougar Tales e-newsletters.
