Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown. The Academic Affairs division at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for an Assistant Dean of Strategic Partnerships Transfer, and Dual Enrollment. The Assistant Dean of Strategic Partnerships Transfer, and Dual Enrollment will provide high-level leadership and oversight in supporting strategic initiatives in academic and workforce development, including transfer and articulations with 4-year colleges and partnerships with high school students who are enrolled in college courses through the dual enrollment program.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree and experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in an academic area taught at the college (Doctorate degree preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching in an academic area with experience in curriculum development, instruction, and accreditation. Familiarity with dual enrollment programs, transfer partnerships, SACSCOC requirements, and higher education policies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and proficiency in using academic software like D2L, EAB, etc. Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to address concerns and find effective solutions, Genuine interest in establishing opportunities for students.
