Registrar 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 400 Magnolia Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115 The University Registrar leads and manages the office of the Enrollment Management/Registrar. Interview, hire, train and supervise staff. Supervise the pre-registration and registration, drop/add, declaration of pass/fail and audit and maintenance of all registration programs in cooperation with all units involved in process. Monitor the office use of Jenzabar. Supervise maintenance and accuracy of all students’ records including posting majors, advisors intended graduation date, etc. Certify students for graduation, honors, class standing; supervise all other commencement responsibilities including rehearsal and ceremony. Certify academic progress and academic standing, grade point averages, credit hour requirements. Sign off on eligibility forms/worksheets, squad lists on student athletes. Set dates and serve as a member of the Athletics, Eligibility, Compliance & Certification committee. Supervise process to readmit students to the University. Prepare semester schedules in consultation with Deans and supervise room assignments. Work with administrators, deans, faculty, IT, and counselors to facilitate and provide services as it relates to academic records, registration, and policy concerns. Monitors degree audits of rising seniors and notify them and their academic advisors of graduation status prior to registration for senior year and monitor same through remaining semesters and alert students to problems as they arise. Advise students, faculty and parents on academic policies/issues as requested. Responsible for collecting, recording, and maintaining and reporting of all student records within FERPA guidelines. Supervise the mid-term and end-of-term grade processing. Supervise archiving of records, transcript request and enrollment verification services. Generation of reports. Prepare annual budget recommendations and monitor throughout the year. Special Assignment(s)/Project(s)/Team Project(s). Serve on various committees as assigned by President, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Bachelor’s degree, three to five years of professional experience in a registrar’s office; familiarity with integrated administrative software package (Jenzabar preferred); familiarity with Word and Excel; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Knowledge of FERPA and other relevant federal policies regarding student’s records.
