Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for a full-time Director of International Programs and Partnerships position. Reporting to the Associate Dean of International Programs and Partnerships, the director will lead and oversee the development, management, and expansion of the Darla Moore Business School’s international partnerships and academic programs. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing global partnerships, a commitment to internationalizing business education, and experience navigating complex international programs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge and understanding of:

regulatory and visa requirements affecting student mobility across borders; issues related to international educational exchange, including knowledge of comparative systems of international education, international credit transfer, pre-departure orientation, financial aid, risk management; cultural factors influencing international student attitudes and behaviors. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Strong demonstrated skills in:

public speaking and motivating students to participate in international learning programs and activities; intercultural communications and cross-cultural relations; interpersonal communication skills, particularly related to orientation sessions with advising students and interacting with faculty, administrative staff, and parents; designing study abroad marketing plans and implementing successful strategies to meet specified goals. Some evening and weekend work, as well as international travel will be required. Job Duties Job Duty International Partnership Development & Management Design, develop, and sustain a portfolio of international partnerships in alignment with the strategic priorities of the Moore School, in collaboration with relevant departments and program units. Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, such as memorandums of understanding (MOUs), research affiliations, dual-degree programs, articulation agreements, and student exchange agreements. Oversee the internal approval processes at USC (Graduate Council, Global Carolina, Provost Office, USC Legal, Board of Trustees) and ensure compliance with external entities (SC Commission on Higher Education, SACSCOC). Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Relationship Building & Program Oversight Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner institutions, track program progress (e.g., growth, exchange balances, student opportunities), and ensure compliance with legal and policy standards. Oversee the management of student exchange programs, ensuring smooth administration of recruitment, selection, preparation, and academic advising for both inbound and outbound students. Conduct annual evaluations of partnerships to determine renewal, expansion, or discontinuation. Coordinate education abroad processes, requirements, and preparations in collaboration with Global Carolina, the Managing Directors of the IB Major and MIB programs, and academic advising staff. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Financial & Operational Management Identify funding needs and secure resources necessary to meet program goals. Manage the program’s operating budget, policies, staffing, and training efforts to achieve goals within financial and operational parameters. Evaluate staff performance, implement development plans, and ensure adherence to university policies. Oversee effective office operations, including financial management, record-keeping, and compliance with federal, state, and university regulations.
