Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State. The Transfer Articulation Specialist performs the following functions: Evaluate domestic and international college transcripts to determine transferability in accordance with college policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Accurately and efficiently enter and maintain coursework data in the Student Information System (SIS). Assist in building courses and maintaining the articulation database within the SIS to ensure consistency in awarding transfer credit. Collaborate with academic departments to develop and refine transfer articulation agreements supporting statewide initiatives. Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure transcripts are evaluated in accordance with acceptance criteria and institutional deadlines. Advise students on transcript evaluations and provide timely communication regarding the status of transferable coursework. Assist in the evaluation and processing of transfer credit exclusion submissions. Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing streamlined workflows for evaluating and awarding credit for prior learning. Evaluate various forms of prior learning, including work experience, certifications, licensure, and standardized exams (e.g., AP, CLEP, IB) to determine eligibility for credit award. Reviews military credentials, non-collegiate training programs, and other non-traditional learning experiences, and makes credit recommendations to academic units. Serves as the primary contact for Joint Services Transcripts (JST) and assists in processing military credit. Maintains and updates articulation tables in SIS and ensures the accuracy of external credit platforms. Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining the reverse transfer process. Collaborates with departments to explore and develop reverse transfer opportunities. Reviews and recommends course substitutions when facilitating graduation clearance for reverse transfer students and conducts related transcript evaluations as needed. Coordinates outreach efforts and campaigns targeting former students to encourage participation in reverse transfer opportunities. Actively participates in institutional committees and workgroups in support of the college’s mission and strategic goals. Assists in training and developing the transfer articulation processes, department policies, and procedures. Contributes to the continuous improvement of transfer articulation efforts. Promptly responds to student, academic department, and advisor inquiries regarding transfer articulation. Performs other duties as assigned.
