Job Description The Director of Residence Life shall be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the holistic development of residential students at Lincoln Memorial University. The Director of Residence Life will perform functions related to areas of the residential experience including serving residential students and overseeing the development and implementation of the residential curriculum and programming within the residence halls. The Director of Residence Life will oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of all undergraduate and graduate Resident Assistants and maintain oversight of the supervision and evaluation of undergraduate Resident Assistants and Greaduate Housing Coordinators. Lastly, the Director of Residential Housing will serve in the residential on-call rotation along with other professional staff members within the Division of Student Services. Due to the live-on nature of the position, an on-campus apartment and meal plan are included in this positions compensation package.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, or related field and a minimum of two years undergraduate student leadership experience related to Student Services or Residence Life.
Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in College Student Affairs, Education, Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, or related field. Supervisory experience with undergraduate or graduate students; and a minimum of two years professional experience working within Student Services or Residence Life.

Job Duty Provide front-line customer service to residential students and parents.
Job Duty Maintain high visibility in the residence halls and at campus events.
Job Duty Assume weekend, weekday and holiday on-call schedules as assigned.
Job Duty establish robust relationships with students.
Job Duty Develop educational and social programs for residential students per the Residence Life Programming Model.
Job Duty Serve as a frontline contact within the Office of Residential Housing.;
Job Duty Encourage student involvement in campus-wide programming to promote a sense of belonging and enhance student retention.
Job Duty Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all undergraduate and graduate Resident Assistants to ensure that they are completing their assigned responsibilities.
Job Duty Conduct weekly individual mentoring meetings with Resident Assistants;
Job Duty Oversee the scheduling of undergraduate and graduate Resident Assistant on-call rotations;
Job Duty engage in professional development related to your job responsibilities and utilize promising practices as it relates to residence life;
Job Duty serve as a student advocate;
Job Duty report data for Outcomes Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness reports;
Job Duty Represent Residential Housing on University committees.
Job Duty Effectively and efficiently complete other duties as assigned.
