Job Summary
Provides executive leadership for all aspects of the MNPS Scholars Portfolio, including high-dosage tutoring, summer programming, and Saturday camps. Oversees personnel, partnerships, budget, vision, strategy, evaluation, curriculum, and district and school-level routines and procedures. Develops and implements a portfolio of evidence-based program models aligned with state law, effectiveness data, and return-on-investment analyses. Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution and continuous improvement of all program goals.
What you will do
Provides executive leadership for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the MNPS Scholars Portfolio team, including high-dosage tutoring, summer programming, and Saturday camps, ensuring alignment with district priorities and student achievement goals.
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships to expand and evaluate Scholars Portfolio programs, driving innovation through the creation and implementation of evidence-based program models in collaboration with external partners.
Oversees the financial strategy, budget management, inventory and resource management, and reporting processes for all Scholars Portfolio programs, ensuring fiscal sustainability through effective revenue generation, resource allocation, and compliance with funding requirements.
Serves as the primary representative and spokesperson for the MNPS Scholars Portfolio, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, media, community organizations, and policymakers to advocate for and promote program impact.
Provides executive oversight of hiring, procurement, and placement for all program staff, including summer staff, tutors, Saturday programming, and contracted partners, while leading the evaluation of program models to ensure return on investment and effectiveness.
Leads cross-departmental collaboration within MNPS to integrate Scholars Portfolio programs into district structures, ensuring seamless coordination with academic, operational, and student support teams to drive continuous improvement and a high return on investment.
Develops and oversees professional learning strategies and technical assistance for school and district leaders to enhance the implementation and effectiveness of high-dosage tutoring, summer programming, and Saturday initiatives.
Provides executive oversight for flawless collection of relevant program data, as well as synthesize and interpret data from internal and external evaluations to drive decision-making, ensuring all Scholars Portfolio programs leverage evidence-based strategies to maximize student academic outcomes.
Operates with a deep understanding of MNPS district leadership structures, leveraging influence to drive systemic change in schools and ensuring program alignment with broader district priorities and initiatives.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree In education, public administration, policy, economics, or other related field Required
Experience Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience, with evidence of increasing supervisory responsibility, overseeing work in strategic planning, program design and implementation, project and performance management, or a related field Required

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
