Job Description
Performs receptionist, registration, and clerical duties associated with direct and scheduled patient admissions.
Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.

Drag Edit DeleteMeets with patient or patient’s caregiver before or after admission to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of process and addresses concerns and questions.
Drag Edit DeleteCommunicates with admitting physician’s office, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel regarding admission to exchange necessary information and determine placement.
Drag Edit DeleteVerifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.

Drag Edit DeleteMay assist with sitting with 6404, 1 to 1 , or line of sight patients after proper training is provided.

- Minimum Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred1 year experience in patient registration.

Experience:
Prefer one-year registration experience in a health care setting with knowledge of all related systems or past work related experience. Proficient in computer skills and able to write simple correspondence. Great customer skills required.
