This role is essential in building and maintaining collaborative relationships to support high-quality clinical experiences for educator candidates. The position reports to the associate director of clinical placements for the office of professional licensure and works across the campus/system as an expert resource for clinical experiences in educator preparation. This includes facilitation and data tracking for 2000+ students and learners annually across 5 UTK colleges: College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, Health & Human Sciences, College of Communication and Information, College of Social Work, and the Herbert College of Agriculture. Additionally, the position will require in-person visits to local schools and occasional state-wide travel to sustain partnerships.

Clinical Placement Coordination:

under the direction of the Associate Director of Clinical Placements, this partnership facilitator will: Travel to local schools and occasional state-wide travel. Serve as a point of contact for resolving partnership-related issues, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness to partner needs. Visit school and educator partners proactively to build and sustain relationships needed to operate high quality educator preparation programs Visit school and educator partners reactively to respond to emergent issues, come to mutually beneficial resolutions, and ensure positive outcomes for students while maintaining positive relationships with partners. Communicate and collaborate with school districts to secure appropriate educator clinical placements that align with certification areas and program requirements, ensuring compliance with state and national policies, standards, and regulations. Match educator candidates with qualified mentor teachers, ensuring placements are aligned with state and national policies and support candidate growth and district priorities. Data & Reporting Maintain and update clinical placement databases in compliance with local, state and national data tracking and accreditation requirements. Collect and analyze data related to clinical placements, candidate performance, and partner satisfaction. Prepare reports for accreditation, state reporting, and institutional review purposes. Monitor and support continuous improvement efforts based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback. Disseminate information to districts regarding program updates, requirements, and changes to accreditation or certification standards. Gather feedback from district partners to inform continuous improvement of clinical experiences. Support & Training Coordinate and provide training and orientation for mentor teachers, teacher candidates, and university faculty and staff on program expectations, evaluation tools, and clinical supervision processes. Support mentor teachers in their role by providing resources, guidance, and ongoing communication throughout the placement period. Collaborate and support faculty and staff to address candidate performance issues or concerns during placements. Maintenance of clinical handbooks and support materials Clinical Experience Verification Ensure each candidate’s progression and eventual completion of all clinical experience requirements necessary for educator licensure. Communicate with school and SEA partners regarding candidate completion of clinical experiences Complete clinical experience documentation as required for licensure

Required Qualifications Education:

Master’s Degree in Education or related field

Experience:

1-3 years related educator preparation managerial experience at the college or university level is required. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status.
