Humphreys School of Law is now open. Interested tenured University of Memphis School of Law faculty with at least five years of experience at an ABA accredited Law School as a tenure-track faculty member are encouraged to apply at the following link https://workforum.memphis.edu/ This position will close on April 25, 2025. The Associate Dean is responsible for fulfilling the following duties: Serve as a general problem solver; Advise students on academic issues; Handle post-admission admonitory disclosures; Oversee exam deferral and exam-related incidents; Report alleged misconduct violations to the School of Law’s Honor Council; Secure, monitor and support instructors in the School of Law’s adjunct faculty program; Coordinate Bar Certification Process with Law School Registrar; Coordinate with School of Law’s Registrar and Teaching Assignments Committee in scheduling courses and teaching assignments; Prepare School of Law’s summer school budget and curriculum; Assist Dean with faculty committee assignments; Review faculty teaching evaluations; Assist Dean with new faculty orientation; Prepare minutes of regular faculty meetings; Maintain and update Law School governing rules and academic regulations; Coordinate necessary arrangements for proctoring exams; Address building matters related to academic affairs; Assist with planning and implementation of new student orientation; Serve as a member of the Law School’s administrative team and in the Dean’s absence.
