POSITION OVERVIEW

The Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships for Enrollment Management at LeMoyne-Owen College will play a critical role in expanding the college’s reach and increasing student enrollment from Memphis and neighboring states. This position focuses on developing, nurturing, and implementing strategies to build strong partnerships with high schools, community organizations, corporate partners, and other regional institutions to drive recruitment efforts. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams to ensure these partnerships translate into successful enrollment initiatives, helping to diversify and grow the student body at LeMoyne-Owen College.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES 1.
Develop and Cultivate Regional Partnerships:

a. Establish and maintain strategic relationships with high schools, community colleges, local organizations, and recruitment agencies in Memphis and neighboring states (Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee) b. Work closely with guidance counselors, college advisors, and community influencers to promote the benefits of attending LeMoyne-Owen College c. Collaborate with regional businesses and organizations to create workforce development partnerships that support enrollment goals and provide students with career pathway opportunities 2.

Enrollment Strategy & Regional Outreach:

a. Partner with the Vice President of Student Affairs to create tailored outreach and recruitment strategies that resonate with prospective students in Memphis and the surrounding states b. Develop and coordinate recruitment events such as college fairs, high school visits, open houses, webinars, and local community outreach initiatives c. Create targeted marketing and communication campaigns that appeal to regional demographics and showcase the unique offerings of LeMoyne-Owen College 3.

Data-Driven Enrollment Decisions:

a. Analyze recruitment data and trends from Memphis and neighboring states to inform and adjust outreach strategies for maximum impact b. Track key metrics such as enrollment conversion rates, student demographics, and partner engagement, providing regular updates to the Vice President of Student Affairs c. Use data insights to refine partnership strategies and make recommendations for improving recruitment efforts 4.

Collaboration Across Campus:

a. Work with internal departments, including admissions, academic affairs, and student affairs, to ensure that recruitment initiatives are integrated with the overall student experience b. Foster strong connections between LeMoyne-Owen College and local community colleges to develop clear pathways for transfer students c. Partner with faculty, student organizations, and alumni to create opportunities for prospective students to connect with the LeMoyne-Owen community 5.

Retention and Success Initiatives:

a. Collaborate with student success teams to ensure that students recruited through regional partnerships are supported throughout their time at LeMoyne-Owen College b. Develop retention strategies and programs that ensure enrolled students persist through graduation, particularly for those coming from the targeted regions c. Monitor and support the success of students recruited through these partnerships, helping to bridge gaps between recruitment and long-term success 6.

Compliance and Best Practices:

a. Ensure that all regional partnership activities comply with institutional policies, regulations, and best practices in enrollment management b. Stay informed about enrollment trends, demographic shifts, and best practices in the field to ensure LeMoyne-Owen College remains competitive in the regional higher education landscape

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in higher education, business, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in enrollment management, recruitment, or strategic partnerships in higher education, with a focus on regional or local outreach Proven track record in developing and managing partnerships that lead to increased student enrollment, particularly in urban or underserved communities Experience in data-driven decision-making and using CRM systems for tracking and reporting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Ability to travel within Memphis and neighboring states to attend recruitment events and establish partnerships Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to support recruitment activities Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, including school administrators, community leaders, and corporate partners Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes Proficient in using enrollment management tools, CRM systems, and data analytics to guide decision-making Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting strategies to meet the needs of diverse student populations
