Administrative Job Summary East Tennessee State University is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking student development professional to help shape and lead the creation of a new, visionary center focused focused on supporting holistic wellbeing and community connections. The Director is responsible for the management and oversight of the Robertson Center, ensuring the successful delivery of programs, services, and resources that foster a welcoming and affirming space for all members of the university community. This role includes strategic planning, outreach, advocacy, and the coordination of initiatives that promote student well-being, belonging, and personal growth. The Director will serve as a member of the Student Engagement team, will participate in relevant campus committees/task force initiatives, and will collaborate with campus and community partners to support student success and engagement while contributing to broader institutional goals related to student retention and community building.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
One to two years of experience in program development, student engagement, or related functions.
Experience managing budgets and operational resources
Record of successful program development and assessment
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Experience supervising graduate assistants or student employees.
Experience evaluating program effectiveness and implementing improvements
Knowledge of risk management, liability considerations, and policy development related to student programs.
Proficiency in technology and software relevant to program and resource management
Demonstrated scholarly activity and/or professional presentations
