Job Summary:
The Director of Admissions will oversee the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to student integration, including recruitment, evaluation, selection, and enrollment management. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan for admissions to bring growth and sustainability. He/She will represent the school to prospective families and collaborate with the admissions committee to achieve enrollment goals and retain current students. This position will also oversee an Education Transition plan for current NHA 6th grade students.
Primary Responsibilities:
Admissions
- Develop and implement strategic plan and calendar for student recruitment, admissions, and retention
- Direct and manage the process of student recruitment, admissions, and re-enrollment
- Move prospective parents from initial inquiry to admissions tour, application, acceptance, admission, to onboarding
- Ensure continuous communication with prospective families with regards to the admissions process
- Collaborate with the Communications Director to create promotional materials, campaigns, and advertising strategy
- Organize and host tours
- Develop and manage admissions preview days and other recruitment events on and off campus
- Represent the school at various events and recruitment sessions
- Build relationships with day care facilities, churches, targeted organizations, and other appropriate outreach opportunities for strategic efforts with recruitment
- Collect personal information for each applicant including teacher recommendations, personal recommendations, testing results, and school transcripts
- Collaborate with Director of Academics to schedule student assessments and classroom shadow days.
- Organize and manage the admissions committee, which reviews files and selects students based on New Hope enrollment objectives and student profiles
- Analyze admissions data to monitor enrollment trends and inform strategic decisions
- Work closely with other departments such as financial aid, development and academic affairs to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students
- Oversee the preparation of admissions reports and statistics
- Maintain the FACTS Management SIS System and ensuring all information is up to date. Closing out the year in FACTS and preparing the system for the upcoming year (working with the Director of Academics) Placement and Transition for 6th grade students
- Coordinate, plan and execute a Transition Education plan and Transition Program for New Hope upper school students and parents to prepare families for transition into middle school
- Advise and assist parents of current NHA 6th graders with admissions process, applications, touring, testing, and placement of student among the various middle school options

- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects with deadlines

- Strong understanding of admissions processes and procedures
- Experience with FACTS Management SIS System and FACTS Financial
- Proven experience in a leadership role within admissions or a related department in an educational setting (preferred) Education Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, or related field required
