The Education Manager supports PMG’s goals, values, and philosophy by consistently demonstrating excellence, quality service, commitment, and accountability. As a member of the PMG team, the Education Manager is also expected to model strong communication, effective teamwork, and deep job knowledge. This role is responsible for both the strategic development and day-to-day execution of client educational programs that advance organizational goals, enhance member value, and maintain compliance with relevant standards. The Education Manager designs and delivers engaging, high-quality educational content across multiple platforms, aligning with adult learning principles and regulatory requirements. They proactively identify new educational opportunities and continuously improve program offerings using data-driven insights.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

, include the following but are not limited to: Program Development, Reporting & Accreditation Lead the strategic planning, development, execution, and continuous improvement of live and virtual education programs based on member needs, strategic goals, and learning trends. Ensure alignment of educational programming with CE standards and accreditation status. Maintains CE record keeping requirements. Coordinate and submit continuing education applications, filings, disclosures, evaluations, and certificate processing. Utilize needs assessments and evaluation data to shape future offerings. Secure accreditation agreement with preferred accreditors. Create post meeting evaluation based on the society’s preferred methods of accreditation. Process accreditation certificates for meeting attendees. Ensures the accreditation procedures are met by collecting financial disclosure statements from all Program/Education Committee members, as well as presenters. Facilitate collaboration with the Program/Education Committee, ensuring educational materials support eligibility and preparation for certification exams. Collect and report metrics (e.g., attendance, satisfaction, learning outcomes) to inform decision-making and accreditation compliance. Develop and implement education strategies that directly support the organization’s strategic plan and annual goals. Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend updates to enhance educational offerings. Coordinates educational webinars and ensure CE filings are complete. Benchmark programs against industry peers and emerging adult learning practices to maintain relevance and value. Conference & Submission Management Design and implement the conference education strategy aligned with the organization’s priorities, incorporating diverse speakers, session formats, and hybrid delivery methods. Serve as the primary point of contact for speakers, leading the abstract submission and review process, managing session scheduling, and overseeing all speaker communications for conferences and in-person educational events. Communicates important meeting information and deadlines with committee members and presenters. Build and manage content submission platforms, timelines, schedules, and supporting materials. Schedule presentations based on session content and venue capacity. Coordinate poster sessions and on-site execution in partnership with A/V and Meetings departments, ensuring all speaker presentations are properly uploaded and all poster boards are accurately labeled. Work closely with the database developer on enhancements for the system and the mobile application. Develop and publish the final program and abstract book, ensuring consistency with brand, learning goals, and accreditation needs. Oversee strategic development and quality control of the program and abstract book to ensure consistency with branding, educational goals, and accreditation requirements. Develop and manage post-meeting evaluations and accreditation certificate processing for attendees. Committee Engagement Serve as staff liaison to education-related committees, advising chairs, facilitating meetings, managing documentation, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Facilitate communication between committees, the Association Manager, and organizational leadership to support informed decision-making and strategic alignment. Collaborate with committees to define learning objectives, develop session content, select speakers, and shape educational tracks. Collect and analyze submission data for committee review and guide proposal evaluation processes. Manage committee timelines and deliverables to ensure the timely completion of program development tasks. Help committees define measurable learning objectives and align content with long-term professional development goals. Digital Learning & Resource Development Manage the Education Resource Library and optimize its structure, discoverability, and relevance to enhance member engagement and long-term value. Manage the development and production of educational products and services from concept to delivery, ensuring they meet professional development needs and align with strategic goals. Lead the design and packaging of asynchronous learning modules and education bundles to support flexible, on-demand learning experiences and drive non-dues revenue growth. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to the LMS and related platforms to improve user experience, content delivery, data tracking, and accessibility across all learning formats. Explore and implement innovative learning tools to expand the digital learning ecosystem and position the organization as a leader in continuing education innovation.

Publication Management:

Oversee client publication and peer-reviewed academic and instructional articles including industry insights, educational program schedules, certification exam details, and career resources. Coordinate the content contributions from members and experts for publications and blogs. Curate thought leadership content in collaboration with subject matter experts and committees to showcase organizational expertise and elevate visibility in the field. Additional educational duties as required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. 2-5 years of experience in event, meeting management, or non-profit societies. Transparent and high-integrity leadership. Exceptional communication skills. Proactive approach to managing potential issues. Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation. Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions. On occasion, the individual must be able to do moderately demanding physical activity such as handling and opening boxes weighing 35-40 pounds, standing and walking extensively throughout the day. Limited to moderate travel is required.
