Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions – DC Metro Region Landmark College is seeking a full-time Assistant or Associate Director of Admissions. Working as part of the College’s enrollment management team, the Assistant/Associate Director will be responsible for traveling primarily throughout the regions of the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and adjacent markets for purposes of student identification, recruitment and enrollment. The Assistant/Associate Director will be responsible for traveling in NY and adjacent markets primarily (but not limited to) for purposes of student identification, recruitment and enrollment, to support LC programs including full-time residential on campus in Vermont; online (with an emphasis on DC metro presence); and short-term programs. Working under the supervision of the Senior Director of Admissions, the Assistant/Associate Director for Admissions will serve as primary contact for students, parents, high school guidance counselors, educational consultants, and educators. The Assistant/Associate Director of Admissions will identify and qualify leads, conduct off-campus meetings, and coordinate area conversion events. The position involves significant year-round travel and tele-counseling activities. Ability to work a weekly call night and some weekends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Significant experience in the education industry, admissions and/or sales is required, as is residency within the DC metro region. Superior communication and organizational skills are necessary. The ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a professional and confidential manner is critical. An understanding of and commitment to the issues of learning disabilities and learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD are highly desirable. Associate Director level includes 4-5 years of previous work experience in higher education and ability to take on a project that they oversee in addition to all other duties as assigned.
