Job Description
The Department of African American Studies at Syracuse University seeks a part-time instructor to teach two sections of AAS 201: Writing About Black Culture for 3 credits at the undergraduate level in the Fall 2025 semester. This course is designed to teach expository writing based on cogent analysis of African American literature, art, music, and historical ideas. In this process, students will be focusing on acquiring information, improving writing skills and sharpening critical thinking ability. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment.
