After School Teacher Qualifications:
Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate with proper endorsement(s) and, if applicable, Highly Qualified Teacher designation for teaching assignment.
Reports To:
Principal and designees
Supervises:
Students and assigned staff
Job Goal:
To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible citizens.
Length of Contract:
Temporary position outside of regular contract schedule.
Performance Responsibilities:
Determines individual and classroom needs. Establishes objectives and plans learning experiences. Implements activities using a variety of techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. Exhibits positive human relations skills. Evaluates the educational programs and/or student progress. Communicates effectively and appropriately with all stakeholders including students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups. Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication. Maintains and submits records and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Adheres to Eufaula City Schools Board of Education policy and administrative guidelines, and state and federal rules and regulations. Spends additional hours on campus participating in faculty meetings, parent conferences, in-service education meetings, PTO meetings, and with other obligations and duties. Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Principal, as long as they are not in conflict with board policy.
