Job Description:
Somerset Neighborhood School at Somerset Academy Central Miramar is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners, fostering a love for reading, writing, and an understanding of the world around them through engaging Social Studies lessons.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lessons in Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies aligned with state and district standards. Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth. Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Integrate technology and hands-on activities into lessons. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with grade-level team members and other staff to support student achievement. Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (required). Valid Florida teaching certification for elementary grades (required). Experience teaching Reading, Language Arts, and/or Social Studies at the elementary level (preferred) Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
