Job Description Summary
Continuing Education – Kids & Teens College -This position requires an experienced, qualified, and passionate educator with an Associate degree or higher. Responsibilities include teaching pre-collegiate learners in innovative career “certificate” programs with immersive virtual skills. Seeking high energy candidate to join our team and innovatively teach emerging career skills. Programs include but are not limited to the pathway of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineer, and Math). The successful candidate should have some college-level teaching experience, a high level of computer literacy, and a commitment to teaching.
Minimum Education:
Associates Degree preferred
Minimum Experience/Training:
Teach courses in an array of teaching modalities: D2L (Desire to Learn), Online-Live (Interactive Virtual Environment), 100% Online, or Blended (in-house training provided)
Familiarity with the School Board of Broward County
Ability to communicate effectively with students
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level computer and digital competency skills
Flexible training schedule during weekdays
3 plus years of experience teaching students in the K-12 system
The ability to focus and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience teaching STEM in a formal academic setting
Embrace change and problem-solving with an interest in developing new teaching strategy
Explain complex concepts in an engaging way to students
