The ideal candidate will inspire a love for history and the social sciences, while also nurturing students in their Catholic faith through meaningful instruction in religion. This educator will be an integral part of our school community, helping form students into thoughtful, informed, and compassionate disciples of Christ.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach middle school social studies curriculum, fostering critical thinking, historical awareness, and civic responsibility. Model and integrate Catholic values in the classroom and throughout the school day. Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support schoolwide initiatives and a positive school culture. Participate in school Masses, liturgical celebrations, retreats, and professional development. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and formation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, or related field Valid teaching credential or in progress Practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong understanding of Catholic teachings Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills Passion for working with students in a faith-based environment
