Overview:
AJA seeks Judaic Studies teachers for the school year 2025-26 in Lower School (grades 1-4). Preferred candidates are experienced, dynamic teachers who are masters of both craft and content, who excel at forging relationships with students, and who work well as members of a thoughtful team. AJA is poised for growth over the upcoming few years, and rebbeim and morot who want to have the opportunity to influence the growth of Atlanta’s various communities and this school, in particular, are invited to reach out. AJA features a robust mentoring program and is capable of inducting new-to-the-field teachers who are looking for a nurturing leadership team to develop their talents.
Responsibilities:
Teach and lead tefilah Teach all Yahadut subjects including Chumash, Chagim, Navi Collaborate with a team, embracing a co-teaching model Has the ability to teach in Ivrit Grow through
Professional Development Qualifications:
Experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a Jewish day school Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of Jewish practice and texts Facility with methods of instruction and classroom management Able to develop relationships with students, teachers, and parents Fluent Hebrew language proficiency for work in the Lower School Spoken Hebrew skills are helpful but not required for HS candidates U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder preferred Interested candidates should email a cover letter and resume to
