Acton Academy Gainesville is a brand-new, learner-driven school launching in Gainesville, Georgia, and we’re looking for a dynamic Founding Guide to help lead the way. At Acton Academy, we believe that every child is a genius on a hero’s journey. Our learner-driven approach combines Socratic discussions, hands-on projects, real-world apprenticeships, and a strong sense of community. As a Guide, you won’t be the center of attention—you’ll be the architect of a space where young learners take ownership of their education.

What You’ll Do:

Facilitate Socratic discussions that spark curiosity and critical thinking Coach and mentor learners as they set goals and navigate their own learning paths Design and support hands-on, real-world projects (Quests) that develop problem-solving and collaboration skills Help maintain a joyful, respectful, and highly engaging studio environment Partner closely with parents and co-founders to shape the culture of a brand-new learning community

You are deeply curious, open-minded, and passionate about learner-centered education You have a growth mindset and thrive in a startup, entrepreneurial environment You believe in the unlimited potential of every child You have experience with children (teaching, mentoring, coaching, or homeschooling) You are excited to be part of a revolutionary educational model inspired by the original Acton Academy in Austin, TX Bonus if you have: Teaching experience or educational training (not required) Experience with project-based learning or Socratic dialogue Familiarity with the Acton Academy model or other progressive education approaches Why Join Us?
