Upper School Division Head Position Status:
This position is a salaried, exempt, full-time, regular, 10-month position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Teaching experience in secondary or higher education Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach 4-5 sections of relevant class(es) in a seven-period schedule Teach a 1-week immersive, interdisciplinary class during Winter Term Work directly with other Upper School teachers as part of a professional learning community Advise students as part of the Upper School Advisory Program Attend scheduled committee and faculty meetings, both during and after-school Contribute to the larger school community by working carpool duties, participating in special events and open houses. We also welcome employees with an interest coaching and sponsoring other extracurricular programs. Successful candidates exhibit not only relevant experience and a robust educational background but also a passion for collaborating with children, an interactive teaching approach, adept interpersonal skills with both parents and colleagues, and a commitment to establishing and fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere.
