Job Description
Westfield Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for an Instructional Technology Teacher to serve at Munger Hill Elementary School.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of authorized administrators shall:
Teach knowledge and skills in computer/technology to elementary pupils, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Westfield Public Schools and appropriate curriculum publications as guidelines in teaching individual course content
Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district
Develop instructional plans and organize class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time
Provide individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual and technology abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities
Instruct pupils in proper care and use of tools and equipment
Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
Identify pupils needs, and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude and learning problems.
Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned work day
Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs
Maintain professional competence through in-service education
Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities
Work cooperatively with all aspects of the school administrative team/faculty and citizens to insure the highest quality of educational programs
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the building principal or Superintendent of Schools..

REPORTS TO

Building Principal
The salary and terms of employment will be commensurate with the Westfield Public Schools Unit A contract. Salary placement will be based on information contained in the application as submitted.
Performance on this position will be evaluated in accordance with the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.
This position subject to funding.
