$53.7K – $87.4K a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Teaching Certification Mid-level Bachelor’s degree Communication skills Full Job Description North Reading Middle School is seeking a Social Studies Teacher to begin on January 5, 2026. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential. Essential duties Unit/lesson planning Direct instruction of students Assessment of student learning Be available to conference with parents/guardians and families as needed or requested Work closely with our History & Social Science team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained Other duties as requested by the Building Principal or designee Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in History/Social Science, grades 5-12 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Collaborative working demeanor Excellent oral and written communication skills At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Additional benefits for this work are outlined in the current North Reading Education Association (NREA) contract .
