Essential duties Unit/lesson planning Direct instruction of students Assessment of student learning Be available to conference with parents/guardians and families as needed or requested Work closely with our History & Social Science team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained Other duties as requested by the Building Principal or designee Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in History/Social Science, grades 5-12 Strong interpersonal and communication skills Collaborative working demeanor Excellent oral and written communication skills At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred Citizenship, residency, or work visa required Additional benefits for this work are outlined in the current North Reading Education Association (NREA) contract .
