Annual Salary or Hourly Rate Range Essential Duties To teach at one (possibly two as needed) asynchronous online section of HIS 101 History of World Civilizations to 1600
To provide a copy of the syllabus for each section to the department at a time prior to the first day of class
To maintain regular and sustained interaction with students in an online course environment through active engagement in discussion boards or other assignments in Canvas
To accurately report grades and attendance and meet all reporting deadlines
To maintain regular online office hours and communicate with students outside of class Minimum Qualifications MA in History or Related field required
PhD or ABD in history preferred.
Experience teaching the assigned course at the undergraduate level preferred but not required.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and students.
Previous experience teaching online using a learning management system such as CANVAS preferred but not required.
