Classes are offered during the day, afternoon and night and may be face-to-face or via distance education technology. Classes will be held on the main campus and at off-campus sites.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Master’s Degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in History.

Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Dept of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC . • Ability to work in a diverse environment. Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, spreadsheets, presentation and collaboration apps and software.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred:
Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, spreadsheets, presentation and collaboration apps and software. Successful teaching experience at the community college level. Essential Duties Job Duties:
Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the department chairperson and approved by the dean. Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc. Classroom preparation, instruction, grading and record keeping for one to four classes per semester. Compile bibliographies of specialized materials or outside reading assignments as applicable. Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs. Construct, administer, and grade examinations. Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College. Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance and foster diversity, equity and inclusion. Foster a welcoming environment with colleagues and students. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Pursue continuous improvement in the areas of subject matter expertise; teaching and learning; the use of educational technology and other areas related to the strategic goals of the college. Facilitate the learning process by designing and implementing inclusive instructional activities that are appropriate and meaningful and that maximize equitable student outcomes.
